A construction package built around your drainage design

Commercial attenuation should be considered as part of the whole drainage system: incoming flows, storage, treatment where specified, flow control, outfall and access for maintenance. A tank alone does not establish a workable drainage strategy. Identify the responsible designer and the current drawing revision before the installation package is priced.

Our tender discussion can cover formation excavation, material handling, bedding, tank installation, associated pipework and chambers, backfill and reinstatement. State which elements are included in your package and which are supplied by the client or specialist contractor. We will review scope and suitability before confirming an offer.

Price the ground risk before it becomes a programme problem

Supply the available ground investigation, groundwater observations, existing service information and anticipated excavation depths. Ground conditions can vary across a single development, including areas of previous fill or clay-rich deposits. Regional descriptions are useful context; they are not evidence of the conditions beneath your proposed tank.

Groundwater, excavation support, temporary works, plant access and storage space can materially affect the construction method. Identify any buoyancy assessment, lining requirements and structural details supplied by the designer or manufacturer. A quotation should clearly identify unresolved information and any provisional allowances rather than conceal them in an apparently fixed price.

Coordinate storage, flow control and maintenance access

Provide the proposed storage volume, tank product and loading class, cover levels, inlet and outlet invert levels, flow-control detail and discharge destination. State the inspection, testing and commissioning requirements. Where the system sits below a trafficked area, the surrounding pavement and loading arrangements need to be coordinated with the installation details.

Inspection points must remain usable after surfacing and landscaping. Agree access for sediment management, cleaning and future maintenance. Include drawings and records required for handover, and identify who takes responsibility for maintaining the completed drainage assets.

Relevant drainage approvals, outfall permissions, SuDS requirements and CDM responsibilities depend on the scheme and participants. Confirm these with the responsible designer and relevant authority. Submitting an enquiry does not provide design approval or permission to discharge. We do not promise a universal tank specification or a guaranteed response time.

Include the drainage layout and sections, tank schedule, quantities, ground information, utilities records, construction specification and required reinstatement. Mark drawing revisions and identify who can answer technical queries. Tell us whether the package is measured, lump sum or subject to a particular schedule of rates.

We will review the information and discuss the next step, including whether a site visit or additional investigation is needed. Keep original CAD drawings alongside a readable PDF export and include the bill of quantities in its native spreadsheet format where available.
